Spring Skiing in the East - Who is still open?
Only 2 ski resorts are still open in the East (both of them during week-ends only):
- Saint-Sauveur, QC
- Killington, VT.
Both resorts will be closing after Sunday June 2nd (last day for operation this season for both) - so next week-end is the last when you can ski the East.
Saint Sauveur is the only open ski resort in Quebec Canada now with only 2 runs: Nordique and Cote 70 - you can see both in the video.
Skiing at 18 C / 64 F as it was on Saturday at Saint-Sauveur (23 C / 73 F on Sunday) is always a great experience - but make sure you wear sunscreen and wax your skis, as the surface will get really sticky. The Ski Octopus uses the Demon Warm Temperature Orange Crush Ski Wax during spring (+31 F ski wax).
The Ski Octopus is planning to be at Saint-Sauveur next week-end too... so if you ever sit next to an octopus on skis in the ski lift... say Hi.
Killington VT is open week-ends only on Superstar area (Superstar ski lift and the run with the same name). The Ski Octopus finished already his Ikon Pass Killington days during Spring Break, so... no more Killington for me this season. Nevertheless, Killington is one of the best ski resorts in the east - and a must do for any ski enthusiast.
As always... stay hydrated. The Ski Octopus.
